The oldest was just 34.
They died in Belgium and Italy, France and Africa, Vietnam and Korea.
1 died as a Prisoner of War after the Bataan Death March.
Some remain listed as Missing in Action.
Most were returned home for burial, but a few are interred elsewhere – North Africa, England, France, Luxembourg, The Netherlands.
Their names are written on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC, on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, and in the hearts of those who love and miss them.
They earned the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Silver Star, and our unending gratitude.
